ESTERO, Fla. — Weber State won the Gulf Coast Showcase Championship with a 75-59 win over Murray State Wednesday night in Estero, Fla.
“This was a huge win for us and I couldn’t be happier for our team,” said Weber State head coach Randy Rahe. “It was another big team effort. It was a great team effort and we got a lot of help from a lot of players. Jeremy (Senglin) was terrific again and got in a great flow and rhythm. This is a great tournament win for our program.”
Jeremy Senglin continued his hot hand by scoring 23 points on 8-of-9 shooting with six rebounds. He was named the Tournament MVP after averaging 25 points a game and shooting 62 percent from the field in the three games. He also knocked down 15 3-pointers in the tournament.
